Jeju Night is a newly opened luxury hotel nestled between Jeju City and Seogwipo City in South Korea, offering guests an escape with breathtaking views. We are proud to have our natural slate featured as the roofing material for this stunning building.
The hotel’s structure is quite unique, with two single-story buildings gathered together like a small village. The architects at BI:UM followed the traditional residential layout of Jeju’s inner and outer streets but approached the expression of materials from a fresh perspective.
MinJeong Kim, architect of the project, explains:
The source of my greatest inspiration was Jeju’s nature itself. I hope the comfort of the island—its wind, rocks, trees, and the tranquility created by the space—will endure
Our natural slate was chosen for its stunning aesthetics. By day, it exudes a strong presence, while by night, it transforms into deep shadows that gently sway in the soft light.
