Natural slate breathes new life into an urban building in Denmark
Natural slate breathes new life into the roof of an old building in Frederiksberg, a district of Copenhagen (Denmark).
Our dark grey slate with thin laminations and a smooth surface renovates the existing roofing of this house, dated 1896 and located at Madvigs Allé, 10.
Falk Tag & Façade replaced the old roofing material by CUPA natural slate, the most durable product. The roof was isolated and renovated wich new Velux windows, combined with zinc.
Facade was refurbished and painted using Keim silicate. Our natural slate, split to an average thickness of 5 mm and 6 mm, back this building to its original appearance.
CUPA PIZARRAS natural slates have been certified as A1, the best possible classification because they are non-combustible.
With a service life of greater than 100 years, natural slate is the best choice as a material for roofing or facade cladding.
Frederiksberg, a council surrounded by Copenhagen, is the 5th largest of Denmark’s cities, but the smallest in surface area.
This island has a strong cultural and political identity forged from more than 150 years of independance from Copenhagen.
