Some of our finest slates have been shortlisted for awards: five projects are in the running for victory
After a well-deserved summer break, we are ready to face new challenges and to continue supporting architects, builders and roofers who rely on our materials to turn their visions into reality.
In the upcoming weeks we have two days penciled in our calendar: five projects carried out with our natural slate have been shortlisted in different categories of the UK Façades Awards and the Pitched Roofing Awards. This autumn season promises to be a time of celebration!
On Friday 3rd November the 2023 UK Façade Awards takes place. This zero-carbon home in Cheshire, cladded with CUPACLAD 201 Vanguard, has been shortlisted in the ‘Best refurbishment’ category.
The ceremony will take place at the Midland Hotel in Manchester. We are sure that this eco-friendly design blending with the surrounding rural landscape will make an impression on the jury.
Later on that month, the 24th of November, it will be the turn of the Pitched Roofing Awards. Four projects roofed with our natural slate will compete in different categories looking to lift the trophy.
The Alexandre Centre in Tavistock, installed by Stormforce Roofing, has been shortlisted for the ‘Best use of a heritage roof’.

Meanwhile, three projects featuring our natural slate roof will fight for the win in the ‘Best use of slate for a domestic project’ category: Mosspark House, by Ferguson Kellock, Parkstone, by Yorkshire Heritage Roofing, and South Church, by McLean Roofing.

As we gear up for the big awards ceremonies, we wanted to take a moment to give a heartfelt shoutout to all the talented roofing contractors who have been shortlisted and to the organisers and judges. See you soon!
