Climate change is one of the biggest threats faced today by our natural world, and we want to be part of the solution.
Climate Change Policy
CUPA PIZARRAS, in its leadership to take action against climate change, understands that collaboration is needed in order to achieve the objectives of the Paris Agreement. This requires great efforts from all of society to comply with the goals and initiatives established in this mission.
CUPA PIZARRAS thus makes public its Climate Change Policy, to demonstrate its leadership in this arena and transmit the policy to its stakeholders to achieve collectively a strong performance towards a low-carbon economy.
The basic lines of action against climate change will be as follows:
- To collaborate with key players in the fight against climate change through the verification of the carbon footprint of greenhouse gases (GHG) for Scope 1 (direct) and Scope 2 (indirect) coming from the commercialisation of slate products.
- To achieve the goal of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, verified through the calculation of the Carbon Footprint, by 1.5% during the period from 2022 to 2025.
- To obtain the total involvement of personnel, collaborators and other interested parties to achieve compliance with the objectives of the fight against climate change.
- To offset greenhouse gas (GHG) carbon emissions through participation in low-carbon economy projects, in order to be neutral in terms of greenhouse gas emissions and at the same time contribute to improving the economy in the development areas of these projects through our investment.
- To encourage the responsible and efficient use of energy and non-renewable resources by all stakeholders
- To identify the risks and opportunities associated with climate change in the organisation, taking them into account when making strategic decisions for the company.
- To provide all CUPA PIZARRAS personnel with the necessary means to achieve the application and compliance with the Climate Change policy.
